You need to submit a request for a deadline extension to the ICA.
It is not uncommon to hear such instances. The ICA will approve if you submit the request promptly, explaining why you need to extend the deadline.
We must emphasise that once the IPA letter expires and you have not completed the necessary actions, ICA may revoke their approval. In short, the PR formalities are deemed incomplete, and your Singapore PR status will not be valid anymore.
